Lilah's Surgery

Super quick post to let you know that Lilah is out of surgery–she is in the PICU and still on all her tubes but things are looking good. Please continue to keep Lilah in your prayers…she should be in the PICU for approximately the next 48 hours.

She will need a second surgery at some point but hopefully she will be much older and it will hopefully not be open heart at that point.

Thank you all for your prayers and kind words!!!

I’m so glad that the surgery went well for Lilah…and I’m glad that DH was able to come home early enough to be there. I know he worries about his men, but they will be home soon now…all of them. Maybe I’ll see you at their homecoming….. :)

In the meantime, hold tightly to one another and be there for that little one who is having to go through so much so young. I pray God’s blessings on the three of you…and will continue to pray for Lilah’s speedy recovery.

Good to hear so far so good. First 48 hours are cruicial for Lilah. When ya’ll get through the first week, it will be so much better for all.

I understand about needing a 2nd surgery, but you will feel SO SO much better after this repair is behind you. Valve replacement is not as hard on the body as the repair. (so I hear)

Take care and BEST WISHES LILAH!!

I am also a military spouse.
