Welcome to the Military Monday Family Blogger Carnival – March 3, 2011!
First, I want to say that I am really enjoying getting to know a number of you–through your links, twitter, etc. I have a number of projects in the works here and hope to have carnival sponsors to provide some more prizes. My goal here is always to build community and support fellow military family bloggers.
March has roared in like a lion here–and not just weather-wise. There are a number of dark clouds hanging over my head. I do not know whether those clouds will rain, pour, or dissipate entirely and the outcome in most case is just out of my hands. I’m sure you can all relate and it would be a great comfort to me to be able to share more with you–but unfortunately I cannot at this time.
But–I don’t want to be a downer! Not when there is so much life and happiness to be enjoyed!
As many of you know, Coming Home premiered last night (March 6), following the return of Army Wives. LifetimeMoms is featuring the stories of real military families, including posts from me (Candace Lindemann), Katja Presnal, Stephanie Boyd-Walker, Tonya Staab, Krystel Spell, Susanna Haynie, and Lisa Douglas.
I also have my post up here on Army Wives’ Lives (When Coming Home is Not a Homecoming) and a new “Ask Molly” column that is need of other perspectives (Can a Military Spouse Have a Professional Career?)…comments on both posts are much appreciated!
We also had 11 fabulous posts last week so if you arrive here and the linky is still empty, check those out!
***Now, On to the Linky Carnival!***
Participating in this blog carnival is very simple. You do not have to write a post just for the carnival–it can be any military family-related blog post. The linky is open all week so jump in whenever you can and make sure to visit others, too!
I hope every blogger who sees this post will add a link. Even if you do not have a fresh post to share or do not blog, please take a moment to visit and lend your supportive and insightful comments to other military family members!
After you leave your link, feel free to put your twitter ID or facebook fan page in the comments section. I’d love to connect on there!
Stumped as to what to write about? Post a picture of an activity on post, share your favorite thing about the military, vent about something that is driving you crazy this week. Seen the first signs of spring on post or is it still snowing where you are? Take a photo and post it! Kids are off of school? Share a list of things to do with them near your installation! It can be ANYTHING military family-related–just try to make it substantive (ie Don’t just post my button and say, “hi”…this is an opportunity to get to know each other and our writing).
*** The only Military Mondays Blog Carnival rules are: ***
- In the “Link Title” field, please place the title of your post, plus the name of your blog and/or your name. (e.g. “Grow Where You Are Planted @Army Wives’ Lives”)
- In the “URL” field, please place the direct “permalink” to the specific post, not to your main page of your blog. (e.g. “http://armywiveslives.com/2009/10/coping-during-deployment/” NOT “http://ArmyWivesLives.com”)
- Your post must be relevant to the military family experience. I also retain the right to delete links to any posts that contain hate speech, plans to commit illegal acts, or anything that violates the spirit of this carnival or U.S. law.
Please make this a post from sometime in the last month or so.
Need a reminder that the carnival is up? Subscribe to Army Wives Lives by Email and you will get a digest of posts, no more than once a day (probably more like 1-3 times a week) when I post.
